HIGH ADVENTURE TEAM

BASIC

WINTER AWARENESS COURSE

January 9-10, 2015 - INDOOR Session - 7:00-10:00 PM Friday & 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday

Cost:  $15 if paid by Wednesday, January 7th -- $20 thereafter.

This Indoor Training Session Covers:

Winter Transportation / Clothing / Layering / Head and Footwear /

Food / Energy / Dehydration / Health / Safety / Hypothermia /

Tents / Sleeping Arrangements / Vapor Barriers / Snow Caves /

Stoves / Snow Kitchens / Campfires / Permits/ Personal & Group Equipment/

 Snowshoes / Winter LNT

This training is appropriate for

  • 1st Class and above Scouts who are 13 or older
  • All Venturing Scouts
  • All adult volunteers
  • New-to-camping-in-the-cold Scoutmasters and Senior patrol Leaders in preparation for the Klondike Derby in February!

This training is a pre-requisite for the outdoor portion which will take place in February.

Cancellation Policy
All fees are non-refundable but may be either transferred to another registrant or transferred to a future training event (to be used within the 12 months following this event). Please direct all questions/concerns to the Council (209)545-6320.
