What is Wood Badge? In1919 Lord Robert Baden-Powell developed and organized a training program for adult leaders that became known as Wood Badge. It is the advanced leadership training for adult leaders in any of the scouting programs. For most Scouter's it's one of the highlights of their scouting careers.
Who is invited to attend? All adult Scouting leaders for: Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Varsity Scouting, and Venturing, including Committee members of all the above and charter partners, council and district members and council's professional staff. All applicants are subject to the approval of the Council Executive. Participants should have completed "New Leader Essentials" and "Leader Specific Training" for their registered position and are encouraged to complete the "Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills Training".
What is the cost? The cost is $225 per person, which includes all meals, a participant's neckerchief, and upon completion of your ticket the full Wood Badge regalia consisting of neckerchief, woggle, and beads.
