DESCRIPTION: \n  \n Fri-Sat, May 21st & 22nd, 2021 \n  \n  \n  \n When: Friday, May 21st 6 p.m. to May 22nd at 6:30 p.m. \n  \n Where: Overnight and training will be held at Camp Warren McConnell: \n  \n 11760 Livingston-Cressey Rd, Livingston \n  \n Who: Any Cub Scout adult/Leader who will be directly involved with any Pack/Webelos Den \n  \n overnight camping experiences. \n  \n Cost: $20.00 ($30.00 after Sunday, May 16th) \n  \n  \n  \n Includes: Printed materials, snacks, breakfast and lunch during the overnight session \n  \n Bring: Tent/shelter; sleeping bag with pad or mattress; sturdy shoes; change of clothes; sleeping \n  \n attire; mess kit with beverage container; toiletries; sunglasses; camp chair; notebook, pen \n  \n or pencil; coat or jacket, cap, and gloves; Cub Scout Six Essentials; copy of Guide to Safe \n  \n Scouting (or access to on smart phone). \n  \n Payment: Payment can be made online at the time of registration or to avoid the convenience fee \n  \n you may walk, mail or call in your payment to the Council Office: (209) 545-6320 \n  \n 4301 Technology Drive; Modesto, CA 95356 \n  \n Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation \n  \n What’s BALOO? \n  \n Cub Scout packs have the opportunity to conduct overnight camping activities, as long as the activity is \n  \n conducted at a council-approved location and is under the direction of a leader in the pack trained to do so. \n  \n The training course to prepare these leaders is called Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation, BALOO, for \n  \n short, and is composed of BOTH an online portion as well as this overnight portion. \n  \n A BALOO-Trained Leader is required if your Cub Pack plans an Overnight Camping Activity. \n  \n   \n  \n Online BALOO prerequisite training is available and recommended \n  \n prior to attending this course (those in attendance who have not yet completed the online \n  \n portion will simply not receive their certificate of verification of training until they do so). \n  \n Go to my.scouting.org and click on Learning Center Link on the right \n  \n Scroll down to BALOO link and follow instructions. \n  \n   \n  \n  \n Flyer Information: 2021BALOOFlyer1.5.pdf \n
