ADVANCED

WINTER AWARENESS COURSE

February 8-9, 2019 - OUTDOOR Session - 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Saturday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Sunday

Location: Woods Lake, the Kirkwood area, CA

Cost:  $35 if paid by Saturday, Febuary 1st -- $40 thereafter.

This outdoor training session covers:

Trek Planning / Winter back country travel & ethics /How to stay warm /

What to do if ... / Weather / Equipment / Wilderness first aid /

Map & Compass / Snow shelters /

Food planning, packaging & cooking / Where to trek /

Patches and awards / Stoves & fuel / And much more!

This training is appropriate for

  • 1st Class and above Scouts who are 14 or older
  • All Venturing Scouts
  • All Registered Scout Leaders

Event will be canceled if less than 4 of the maximum 15 participants sign up.

Late fee
After 2/1/2020 a fee of $5.00 will apply to all Adult Registrants.

Cancellation Policy
All fees are non-refundable but may be either transferred to another registrant or transferred to a future training event (to be used within the 12 months following this event). Please direct all questions/concerns to the Council (209) 545-6320.
