Camp McConnell is approved for Cub Scouts to use with their BALOO trained leaders.
Camp McConnell is located three miles east of Livingston, along the Merced River. This 5.8 acre site is used for adult and junior leader training, Cub Family Camp, District Camporees, and year-round camping. Several campsites are located in a grove of trees near the river. One permanent building is located on the northwestern portion of the property. This building has a multipurpose room, fully equipped kitchen, first aid room, and men's and women's rest rooms with showers. There are separate use fees for camping, multipurpose room, kitchen and pool facility.
Cub Scout Packs as well as Boy Scout Troops enjoy using the camp throughout the year for Family Camping and other unit activities.
Adult leaders hold Scout leader basic training and Wood Badge advanced training courses here. Other groups and organizations are invited to use these facilities.
Toloma Lodge of the Order of the Arrow uses the camp for Fall Fellowship and again for Winter Ordeal.
Each Fall the Council holds its annual Cub Family Camp at McConnell where 400-plus guests enjoy activities from Friday night through Sunday morning for a nominal fee.
