Come join the GYC Aquatics committee to learn more about different water-based activities you and your scouts can participate in to enhance your Scouting experience in a safe and fun manner!
Open to ALL scouts who would like to attempt an official BSA swim check or learn & work on valuable aquatics skills such as:
Performing the swim check for you and your Scouts
Tips for improving your swim strokes to complete your swim test successfully
Setting up a Safe Swim Defense area (so you can swim in lakes on Scout outings!)
Boating opportunities offered in Scouting (including rules and regulations)
Cub Scout Aquatics Elective Achievements (Floats & Boats, Spirit of Water, etc.)
Meet your Council Aquatics Committee to offer your input on:
Upcoming aquatics events within the Greater Yosemite Council
How we can serve the needs and desires of your unit for aquatics activities
Date: Saturday, March 10th, 2018
Time: 10am – 12pm (arrive no later than 11:30am)
Location: Woodbridge Country Club (800 E. Woodbridge Rd, Woodbridge, 95258)
Fee: FREE!
Requirements: Swimsuit, Official BSA medical form (parts A & B), Towel, Must be a registered BSA Scout (Cub, Boy, Venture, Varsity, Explorer) of 5 years old or older
